Mouseketeer Annette Funicello rushed to hospital (Mickey Mouse Club Video)

LOS ANGELES – Former lead Mouseketter, Annette Funicello, 68-years-old, was rushed to a hospital on Thursday after her house caught on fire.

Treated for possible smoke inhalation, Funicello is being reported in good condition.

Funicello who has multiple sclerosis and confined to a wheelchair was fortunate to escape without serious injury during the early morning fire. 

While firefighters were able to subdue the flames in about a half-an-hour, Funicello’s home has been seriously damaged.

Arson investigators are working on the cause of the blaze.
