Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will add fuel to the transfer fires this summer with his latest comments surrounding Belgian star Eden Hazard.

Following the Blues disappointing home defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semifinal, Mourinho wondered aloud whether or not Hazard was willing to defend properly from his advanced wide position.

“When the comments come from a player like Eden, it’s normal because he’s not the kind of player to sacrifice himself for the team,” Mourinho said.

“He’s not mentally ready to look to his left back and leave his life for him.”

Hazard was named the Professional Footballers’ Association Young Player of the Year, but Mourinho believes there is much more work to do.

“I’m not happy,” he said. “I’ve tried to improve him all season.”

Hazard has been heavily linked to French giants PSG in recent months. These comments have the potential to unsettle Hazard if taken the wrong way.
