This month marks the beginning of the 5th Annual Mountain View Public Library Adult Summer Reading Program. If you thought summer reading programs were just for kids, think again! This free program, open to anyone 18 or older, runs from June 12th through August 10th.

The theme for this year’s program is Read-Dream-Create. Participants will be eligible for prizes, as well as one grand prize, if they either read three books, or engage in three different activities from the following list:
Read a book
Write a book review
Record a video book review
Attend one of the Summer Reading Program events
Reading materials are not limited to just books, but participants may also choose from ebooks or audio books.

To sign up and log activity for the program, visit the program homepage, or ask a librarian in person.

For inspiration on what to read, check out the Mountain View Library staff’s summer reading picks, linked at the bottom of the Summer Reading Program homepage.
