Mountain View Park to get friendly lighting

Outdoor recreation off the street, in Mountain View Park, will soon take place in a field lit by new lights that welcome in neighborhood locals. Councilwoman Marti Emerald, today, gave the neighborhood money needed to finally put in lighting the nieghborhood has had lined up for decades.

The multipurpose field in a Southeast San Diego community the years did not add park space did not give adults and children a friendly, and safe, place to join in recreation activities.

Threats to safety in the low grade lighting had kept out freedom to enjoy the park. Late evening and night activities had to last decades amidst community disapproval.

THe Southeast Planning Group mae the work putting in new lights a top priority.
