Mountain View Neighborhoods

For a relatively small community of just 12 square miles, the City of Mountain View is home to a surprising number of twenty separate neighborhoods. With a population of over 74,000 residents, this city is home to an incredibly diverse population. Many Mountain View neighborhoods have close-knit resident groups that are active in local politics and community. Do you know in which Mountain View neighborhood you reside?

Mountain View Neighborhoods:
Blossom Valley: lies between Springer Road and Miramonte Avenue
Castro City: lies to the west of the junction on Rengstorff and Central Expressway
The Crossings: includes the area behind the current location of Safeway at California Street and San Antonio
Cuernavaca: a small neighborhood that lies to the southeast of the junction of Highway 85 and El Camino
Cuesta Park: the area between Miramonte Avenue and Grant Road, just south of El Camino
Gemello: the area to the immediate southwest of El Camino Real and El Monte Road
Jackson Park: a small pocket to the northwest of Central Expressway at Moffet Boulevard
Martens-Carmelita: the neighborhood between Stevens Creek and Grant Road, just south of El Camino
Monta Loma: one of the larger neighborhoods north of Central Expressway, bordered by Middlefield Road, Rengstorff Avenue, and San Antonio Road
North Whisman: the area east of highway 85, north of Middlefield Road
Old Mountain View: includes downtown Mountain View and is bordered by Shoreline Boulevard, El Camino Real, Highway 85, and Central Expressway
Rex Manor / Mountain Shadows: the area north of Central Expressway to the immediate east of Permanente Creek
Saint Francis Acres: includes St. Francis High School, and is surrounded by El Camino, El Monte, and Permanente Creek
Shoreline West: the area immediately west of Shoreline Boulevard and north of El Camino Real
Slater: North of Central Expressway, south of Middlefield Road, between Highway 85 and North Whisman Road
Stierlin Estates: the northernmost Mountain View Neighborhood, bordered by Highways 101 and 85, Middlefield Road and Shoreline Boulevard
Sylvan Park: the neighborhood tucked between Highways 85 and 237, and El Camino Real and the City of Sunnyvale border
Waverly Park: the southernmost Mountain View neighborhood, between Grant Road and Highway 85
Whisman Station: the community between North Whisman Road and Highway 237, north of Central Expressway
Willowgate: lies north of Central Expressway, between Moffet Boulevard, Middlefield Road and Highway 85
