This is good news for the ski and snowboard crowd for the 2014-2015 snow season. Here's what it means, according to Kathie Gonzalez of Liftopia:

"Skiers and riders will have access to seven leading destinations (15 mountains total!) – AltaSnowbird, Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole, Mammoth Mountain, Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, Whistler Blackcomb and Ski Banff-Lake Louise- Sunshine – all for just $389. Additionally, the price for the kid’s pass has been reduced more than 55 percent to just $99 for the 2014-2015 season, making it an ideal time to plan a family ski vacation."

Mountain Collective passes are on sale now at and Liftopia is noted as the exclusive technology, distribution and marketing partner of this historic alliance. The benefits are to the snowsports crowd, who are grinning ever more vigorously with this announcement.

The pass will get you two free days at each ski area, and unlimited 50% off lift tickets after the two free days are used, at each of the seven destinations. Discounted hotel rates are also available at some of the resorts.

In those 15 mountain areas, access is to 38,000 acres of terrain, 212 lifts, and more great snow, steeps, and just great skiing than you ever thought possible. The steeps, spread across the resorts, are simply legendary.

Vice president of markets for the Aspen Skiing Company, Chrisition Knapp had this to say:

“The Banff area is truly one of the most picturesque mountain destinations in the world offering an amazing town and three world-class resorts. This addition nicely complements the already incredible roster of Mountain Collective destinations, giving skiers and riders even more variety and value.”

Pete Woods, General Manager, Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine, said "The three mountains of Lake Louise, Sunshine Village and Mount Norquay in Canada’s Banff National Park are thrilled to join the premier ski and snowboard destinations on the planet. The unbelievable mix of terrain, astounding natural setting and welcoming ski towns of Banff and Lake Louise are a perfect match to the dream list of Mountain Collective destinations.”

It's never too early to get the snow dances going, or to take advantage of the early season pass deals. Liftopia makes it easy. The Mountain Collective makes it about the best deal around.
