Ross has received numerous accolades during her solo career as well, including a special Tony Award in 1977 for her one woman show “An Evening with Diana Ross,” Kennedy Center Honors in 2007, and a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2012.

She was also nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal of Billie Holliday in 1972’s “Lady Sings the Blues” and is one of the few recording artists to have two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one as a solo artist and another as a member of The Supremes. Some of her biggest hits include “Stop!
