Motorsports: WGI Sahlen's Six Hours, IMSA to offer autograph session

Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, N.Y., announced on Friday, May 30, by press release that the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) will offer an autograph session for fans as part of the Sahlen's Six Hour weekend at the Glen, June 26-29. Drivers and teams competing at the Glen in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship will sign autographs near their transporters on Saturday, June 28.

"During this event weekend fans can get up-close and personal with the drivers during the autograph session," stated Michael Printup, President of Watkins Glen International. "Fans are able to meet the drivers and get their autograph at each team hauler. This isn’t just a line-up, fans can actually experience a piece of the team action."

The fan event will be held in the paddock, Saturday June 28, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Drivers expected to be in attendance include Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas, Christian Fittipaldi and Joao Barbosa, and Ricky and Jordan Taylor. Driver availability, however, is subject to change.

TUDOR United SportsCar Championship races will be held at Detroit Belle Isle May 30-31 and Kansas Speedway June 6-7 before making their way to the Glen. After the Glen, races include a schedule taking teams to Canada, IMS, Road America, VIR, COTA, and Road Atlanta.
