Motorsports: Watkins Glen Int'l adds 'The Grove' to Sahlen's 6 Hour

Via press release on Wednesday, April 9, Watkins Glen International announced a new hospitality upgrade that will be made available for fans at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, June 26-29. Called The Grove, a new hospitality chalet on the infield adjacent to the garage and the pedestrian bridge will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. through one hour after the checkered flag.

According to WGI, The Grove is "designed for race fans, by race fans." It will feature preferred parking passes (near Gate 5), opportunities for trackside and televised race viewing, complimentary food and beverage, an official souvenir race program, exclusive restrooms, and Q&As with motorsports personalities. Purchase for The Grove must be made in advance and must be made in addition to admission tickets.

Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend features almost 24 hours of racing with IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Porsche GT3 Cup USA and Cooper Tires Prototype Lites all competing at Watkins Glen International.

Watkins Glen International celebrates its opening weekend April 12-13. Proceeds from this year's opening weekend will benefit Autism Speaks and The NASCAR Foundation.
