The most famous cool bike builder you never heard of, is building another Moto Guzzi, similar to the one in the picture. The one shown is a Pikes Peak Special Edition 1970 Moto Guzzi Ambassador. The new one will be even cooler, a high-piped TT anomaly.
Why and why should this be of any interest to you? Because of a couple of very close friends who happen to live in Phnom Penh Cambodia. They work for a church there and deserve to be helped.
Sovann and Pheap have 2 kids (Prina 9 and Sochhantak 7 ). A few months ago Pheap found out that she has stage 2 breast cancer. The treatment plan for her is...a lot..about one year’s salary. They have no medical insurance.
To help them pay for treatment, I bought an old Guzzi with the intention of building another version of the Pikes Peak Special Edition and will be giving it away to someone who helps Sovann and Pheap. That lucky someone will help design the paint scheme or just let me pick it for you.
I'm asking one hundred people to make a minimum of a $100 donation to a PayPal account he has set up for this charity - or write a 10,000 word essay on what charity means to you - because of course, there is no purchase necessary as the bike is being given away solely out of appreciation for your generosity.
My good friend Greg Tracy and the amazing folks at My Life @ Speed have not only helped me spread the word, but have dug deep into their own pockets to help. I can't thank all of you kind people enough, We are over halfway to our goal. Sovann & Pheap are grateful beyond words.
One hundred percent of your donation goes to Pheap’s treatment. The account will be closed when 100 people have donated, the bike winner will then be chosen at random and anonymously by an unaffiliated party and build-off will begin and be documented.
The lucky someone will be notified by phone, email, carrier pigeon, smoke signal and on My Life at Speed. http://www.mylifeatspeed.com
Send you $100 "gift" donation to Paypal account Cambodia2020vision@gmail.com Thank you in advance.
