Motley Crue front man Vince Neil hospitalized in Australia

On March 10, 2013, Vince Neil, the front man for Motley Crue, was hospitalized and cut short an Australian concert performance due to kidney stones, according to CNN.

The news media outlet reports that Allen Kovac, the band’s manager, said “He [Neil] has been having problems for the last few days with kidney stones. He was treated at the hospital after the show. It’s the middle of the night there, and we will know more later.”

E! Online reports that after the concert ended early, fellow band member Nikki Sixx tweeted, “Sorry Sydney for a short set tonight but Vince had to be rushed to the hospital for internal pain. Will update you on his progress.”

Band guitarist Mick Mars also took to Twitter, writing, “Vince had an attack of kidney stones. He went straight from stage to hospital.”

Despite Neil’s hospitalization, Motley Crue is still slated to appear on the next leg of their concert tour in Brisbane on March 12, Kovac noted.
