Vince Lombardi (1913 - 1970) is one of history's most famous football coaches, leading the Green Packers to the first two Super Bowl championships. During a seven year stretch he won five league championships and lead. His success included winning nearly three-fourths of the games he coached and 90% of his post-season games.
Lombardi is often quoted as saying, “winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.” Trouble is, he never said that. But he was not silent about winning.
“Winning is a habit,” remarked Lombardi, “but so is _____.”
