Phil McGraw is known to his followers simply as Dr. Phil. He got his start with Oprah Winfrey during a trail with cattle farmers in 1995. Apparently Winfrey was impressed with McGraw is following the trial she invited him to appear on her TV show. Winfrey’s eye for talent proved itself again as McGraw’s appearances were an audience favorite. She moved him to a weekly featured guest to discuss psychological issues.

In September 2002 he started his own daily talk show which Winfrey produced. It quickly became a ratings hit as a syndicated audience enjoyed his down-home Texan style. Giving practical advice to which his audience could easily relate was the hallmark of each show.

Although each show appear to be different one common theme ran through all of the guests appearing before him in search of his wisdom.
