This herb is a seaweed that is almost black in color, with ribbons or thalli that are knobby at the joints. It was used in the past as a remedy for swelling of the thyroid from lack of iodine, and in the 18th century, it was major source of iodine.

Bladderwrack stimulates the thyroid and gives your metabolism a gentle kick, for more efficient function and that’s one needs in losing weight.
