As San Diegans celebrate Mother’s Day, enjoying the fabulous restaurants, beaches and all the diverse beauty San Diego has to offer, many children will spend their day remembering their lack; they don’t have a mother.
May is Foster Care Awareness Month, an appropriate time to remember the half million children waiting for families in foster care—including 4,000 in San Diego county.

While churches around San Diego honor mothers, hopefully many will remember it’s Foster Care Awareness Month and turn their attention to the foster children. After all if each of these churches promoted this cause, there probably wouldn’t be any more children needing homes.
