Plant and Flower Sale at the Lancaster Historical Museum, 40 Clark St. in Lancaster on Friday and Saturday, May 9th and 10th, featuring hanging baskets, mixed flowers and vegetables.
Lilac Festival at Highland Park, 2449 Highland Rd. in Rochester from Friday, May 9th through Sunday, May 18th, featuring free entertainment, arts and crafts shows, wine and chocolate tastings and, of course, lilacs. Open daily from 10: a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Wine Trail Blossoms at participating wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail. At each winery, collect a special flower gift and celebrate the wine trail’s 12th anniversary. Takes place Friday through Sunday, May 9th through 11th – hours are Friday noon to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.; tickets are $40 per person or $70 per couple presale and limited – find out more at www.niagarawinetrail.org.
Mother’s Day Down on the Farm at Kelkenberg Farm of Clarence, 9270 Wolcott Rd. in Clarence Center on Sunday, May 11th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit newborns and their mothers, take a horse-drawn hayride or a farm tour and more. $7 per person or $25 for a family of four – proceeds benefit the Food Bank of WNY.
Mother’s Day Celebration at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, 180 Thompson St. in North Tonawanda. Moms get free admission from noon to 4 p.m.
