A mother from Sanford, Fla. who was just recently reunited with her four children after they’d been placed in foster care, is now being held at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility without bond, and charged with aggravated child abuse. One of those children, a 2-year-old daughter, has been missing since at least Feb. 10.

First Coast News reported that the 32-year-old Fla. mom, Rachel Fryer, was arrested on Monday following an investigation by the Sanford Police Department and the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF.) Three of Fryer’s children were removed from the home and placed into DCF care.

As of this writing, the 2-year-old daughter is still missing.

DCF is being credited with contacting the Sanford police after a caseworker “expressed concern about one of the children.”

Police are attempting to locate Fryer's boyfriend, 28-year-old Timothy Gordon, and a 46-year-old woman named Tonya Grooms. Investigators said both could have vital information about the 2-year-old child's welfare.

Fryer had visitation rights with her four children while they were in foster care. According to DCF, the last family visit went smoothly; “but one investigator told WESH 2 News that the disappearance is not a good sign.”

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office reported that police from Sanford are searching near Crescent City in Putnam County in connection to the case.

Anyone with information about the child or the mother's boyfriend is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
