A good Samaritan is reaching out for assistance for a mother dog and her newborn, week old, puppies who are currently living in a car in Huntington Beach, Calif.
The dog's owner had been in the hospital when things deteriorated.
The dog, named "Trixie," had been staying with a friend while her guardian was hospitalized; unbeknownst to Trixie's owner, the friend allowed Trixie and another dog to mate and Trixie became pregnant.
Things continued to fall apart.
Trixie's owner's long-time boyfriend packed up and left her - he also left behind children and two dogs...
The following information was shared by Trixie's owner's mother about the current situation:
Trixie had been living in my $10,000 KIA along with my daughter because she will not leave her alone in the car. This has been going on for a month now. I've everything to find Trixie a home. She is only a year and a half years old and we are devastated to have to give her up. I'm about to become homeless to if I don't do something quick.
And this tidbit about Trixie's demeanor:
Momma was raised with a Chihuahua and small children...not sure about dogs outside of the home.
According to the woman who is trying to help with this sad situation, there is a rescue agency which is willing to help, but a foster home is needed for the mother dog and her tiny pups.
