A mother held the boyfriend of one of her daughters against his will, and sliced his penis with a box cutter.

Bonita Lynn Vela, 35, Franklin, Ind., was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies on preliminary charges of battery with a deadly weapon and criminal confinement with a deadly weapon.

As reported in USA Today, Vela told police she was suspicious that her 2-year-old son had been molested by the 18-year-old Avon, Ind., resident. Avon is 13 miles west of Indianapolis.

According to the police report, the officers stated that the young man was adamant during their conversation that he had done no such thing. Vela did admit that her suspicions developed after she had been smoking marijuana, and couldn’t be sure whether she had ingested any other drugs before the incident, police said.

Although no other arrests have been made at this time, according to the police report, two other people helped hold the man in the trailer Saturday.

The man told police that Vela was "out of control" and held him captive in the trailer for 3½ hours. It is reported the Vela initially told him she had called friends with guns to come "take him out".

The victim recounted to police that Vela told him he would be tied to a tree, shot in the head and then left for animals to eat. She then forced him to drop his pants, and told him she might allow him to leave alive if he allowed her to cut his penis. Vela told the man she "wanted to scar him so that he would have to look at it every time that he had sex in the future," according to the police report.

The victim, who showed his injuries to police, explained that the woman initially began stabbing at his penis with a fork in efforts to draw blood. He said when she was unsuccessful, she then found a box cutter and "cut him deep,"

At one point, the man reported to police Vela told him "he would have to choose his life or his penis."

According to the victim, he was eventually released after she had cut him.

The man remains fearful that Vela and her acquaintances "will go to great lengths to hurt or kill him," he told police. He also said he feared someone had used a cell phone to record the incident.

Vela was being held in the Johnson County Jail on $28,000 bond.

The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injury; its severity was not released.
