Manhattan School of Music (MSOM) Directions: Fri. Mar. 1 @ 7:30 pm- concert in honor of pianist Gil Evans centennial and Evans' collaborations with trumpeter Miles Davis. The featured guest soloist will be saxophonist Dave Liebman; $12. On Thu. Mar. 28 @ 7:30 pm the MSOM Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra will perform in a program called "Harlem Lives" led by Bobby Sanabria; $12.

Le Poisson Rouge: Mon. Mar. 4 @ 8 pm: Singer Josh Ritter in a live concert featuring music off his new album "The beast in its tracks" is SOLD OUT. The concert will be streamed live at NPR music.

Carnegie Hall Directions: Fri. Mar. 22 @ 7:30 pm- pianist Jeremy Denk in recital featuring Liszt, Bartok, Bach and Beethoven; starting at $15.50 (obstructed view)- $90. On Wed. Mar. 27 @ 7:30 as part of its Neighborhood Concert series jazz singer Claudia Acuna at Harlem Stage, tickets free but RSVP required. Directions

MET Museum: Sat. Mar. 23 @ 7 pm- Musician Paul Miller (D.J. Spooky) in a program entitled "Of water & ice: a concert of composition based on water and arctic rhythms"; $30. The concert will also be streamed live.

Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory Directions: Sat. Mar. 2 (7:30, 9:30)- Jazz trumpeter Jon Faddis' Quartet; $25. On Sat. Mar. 16 @ 7:30 pm the Brooklyn Conservatory Orchestra in a program featuring Haydn, Brahms and Sibelius at Plymouth Church in Brooklyn Heights Directions; $15.
