Low pressure over the lower Ohio Valley this morning, will track northward to the Great Lakes by tonight. This system will push a warm front northward across the area this morning. A few scattered showers are possible through the morning hours. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and humid.
This afternoon, some breaks in the overcast will allow temperatures to climb to around 80 degrees. A cold front will slowly approach from the west by late this afternoon. This will aid in the development of scattered showers and storms this afternoon, a few of which could be severe.
The showers and storms will continue through this evening, then gradually taper off overnight.
On Thursday, the low will lift northward into Ontario, as a second system dives southeastward into the Great Lakes. This second system will drag a cold front eastward across the area late Thursday afternoon or Thursday night. Thursday will probably start off dry, but scattered showers and thunderstorms could pop up as the cold front approaches.
A few scattered showers and storms will persist into Thursday night, then skies will partially clear.
On Friday, there could be just enough residual moisture to touch off a shower during the morning, otherwise we will see improving conditions with skies gradually becoming mostly sunny and humidity levels dropping.
