BUDDY has been rescued! Thank you everyone for sharing, donating, and being part of a great community united in saving the lives of so many of our four legged friends.
UPDATE: Please view new videos of Buddy taken on Wednesday afternoon. Please share with your friends and help to find Buddy a safe place to begin his new life:
Buddy has been kept in isolation; his due date to leave was Feb. 18, and none of the volunteers know exactly why Buddy has not been euthanized at the high kill San Bernardino Animal Shelter.
The giant red mark against four-year-old Buddy (A461100) is on his evaluation sheet which calls him animal aggressive, yet a volunteer who has been at the shelter and personally interacted with the fawn and white bull mastiff mix states:
"This boy is labeled dog aggressive. When I took him out for a walk he was SHAKING. Very scared. Many ticks.... He was reactive to another dog that was also barking towards him. But I also saw him being very sweet and gentle. He needs to be the only dog in the house...Or maybe with some training he will be amazing. This boy is BEAUTIFUL. Please don't let him to be killed just because a LABEL."
Funds are being pledged to help Buddy. The ideal situation for this dog would be in a single pet home.
Please share Buddy's story with your friends, family, and coworkers.
