After dribbling out a few shows, the new season starts in earnest with NBC trying to be heard and a mother of all endings.
NBC's highest rated show “The Voice“ makes its season debut on Mon. Sept. 23, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. on ch 2.1 KJRH with episode "The Blind Auditions, Part 1". the original judges are back with Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton continue as judges.
CBS then starts their popular comedy block with meeting the mother in “How I Met Your Mother“ on Mon. Sept. 23, 2013 on ch 6.1 KOTV. They air back to back episodes "The Locket" at 7:00 p.m. and "Coming Back" at 7:30 p.m. This is the final season of the show and almost all the cast have already been doing movies and other projects. The entire season will be set in the last 55 hours leading up to a wedding so the cast will miss out going on location to Italy and Chicago. The highly rated “2 Broke Girls“ starts at 8:00 p.m. with "And the Soft Opening" which is most likely about (spoiler alert) the opening of their hole in the wall cupcake store. The new show “Mom” starts at 8:30 p.m. “Mom” is another
Chuck Lorre comedy with SNL alum Anna Faris and Allison Janney who plays her hippy mother. It was given this time-slot and not the one after Lorre's other show “The Big Bang Theory” on Thursday.
The next day the highest rated drama “NCIS“ starts its eleventh season on Tue. Sept. 24, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. on ch 6.1 KOTV with episode "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot". The spin-off “NCIS: Los Angeles“ also has its premiere at 8:00 p.m. with episode "Ascension".
NBC of course moves for no reason its most popular drama “Revolution“ over to Wednesdays starting season two on Sept 25, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. on ch 2.1 KJRH with episode "Born in the U.S.A.". It is followed by the season premier of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit“ at 8:00 p.m. with episode "Surrender Benson; Imprisoned Lives".
Competing with SVU is “Criminal Minds“ which also starts Wed. Sept. 25, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. on ch 6.1 KOTV with episode "The Inspiration".
NBC's once vaunted Thursday comedies start off with a double dose of Michael J Fox. But first “Parks and Recreation“ airs a two parter on Thu. Sept. 26, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. on ch 2.1 KJRH with episodes "London, Parts 1 & 2". “The Michael J. Fox Show” then airs at 8:00 p.m. with "Pilot", followed by "Neighbor" at 8:30 p.m.
Facing NBC's "Office"-less comedy block is a double dose of about the only show that increases viewers “The Big Bang Theory“ on Thu. Sept 26, 2013 on ch 6.1 KOTV with the episode "The Hofstadter Insufficiency" at 7:00 p.m. and "The Deception Verification" at the ridiculous time of 7:31 p.m. Robin Williams counters Michael J Fox with his new comedy “The Crazy Ones” which airs at 8:01 p.m. followed by the murdered by CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men“ at 8:31 p.m. After killing the show CBS and Lorre are going to (spoiler alert) give it a sex change because they introduce Charlie's daughter in this episode named "Nangnangnangnang".
“Undercover Boss“ is fairly repetitive. They did Hooters restaurant once and now they are kicking the copying up a notch by bringing their formula to a Hooters competitor. They are starting the season off with "Twin Peaks" which airs Fri. Sept. 27, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. on ch 6.1 KOTV. Twin Peaks has a lodge theme with scantily clad waitresses usually in plaid. “Hawaii Five-0“ has been moved from Mondays and now follows at 8:00 p.m. with episode "Aloha ke kahi I ke kahi".
The CW which usually starts early is waiting until October to premiere most of their shows.
