This is one of those days, when most of the pain has left me. For one reason or another, which I cannot figure out, the physical discomfort from disease and medication, has left me. I know the pain will return, it is inevitable. Yet for this moment I try to rest, content and rejoice, relatively free of struggle.
Over the years, I have developed some of the ways of the old. At times, body and mind slow and memories increase. Seeing more clearly those I love engage in triumphs, failure and illness; ever slowly and inevitably moving forward toward their next phase.
