The most famous women who was a NBA basketball cheerleader is easily Paula Abdul. Paula was a Laker Girls cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers in the early 1980s, where she caught the attention of the Jackson family while performing during NBA games.
That led to Paula Abdul becoming a dance choreographer for many music videos during the rise of MTV. Paula also became a successful pop singer herself, recording the hit albums, "Forever Your Girl", "Spellbound", and "Head Over Heels". Paula Abdul went on to become a star judge on "American Idol".
