The Museum of Science and Industry will be hosting the annual "Festival of Chocolate" this weekend January 18th until January 20th, 2014. As the State of Florida's largest celebration of chocolate, all of MOSI will become a chocolate lover's paradise.
Throughout the event, guests may only purchase items from vendors by using a "Chocolate Chip". Each "Chocolate Chip" is worth $1 and can be purchased online at the event. Vendors from around Florida on hand will include, Candy Cottage, Kookie Krums, Mikey's Custom Creations Cafe and Bakery, Oh la la Crepes, Crafte Aprons, Sweet Tweets and much, much more.
There will also be demonstrations throughout the weekend including, but not limited to, "Chocolate 101" and "MythMelters". A Cocoa Couture Fashion Show will take place on Saturday afternoon and a live Cake Decorating Competition will take place on Sunday.
For and additional fee, there will be Chocolate Classes for $20 per person and can be purchased online. The classes will include Chocolate Flower Making and Creating the Perfect Chocolate Truffle. The Wine and Chocolate Pairing Seminar will be taking place on all three days of the event and will be an additional $10 per person for those who are 21 years of age and older.
Throughout the weekend there will also be plenty of fun for children of all ages. The activities will include an ice cream eating contest, a cookie stacking competition and a chocolate inspired game show, plus much much more
Admission to "Festival of Chocolate" is $17.95 for children (2-12), Seniors (60+) are $19.95 and Adults (13-59) are $21.95. Tickets can be purchased online or at MOSI. MOSI members will receive a discounted admission of $10 per adult and children (12 and under) are FREE.
