“When it rains it pours”. Remember that slogan? Who can forget the Morton Salt classic blue salt container with the little girl on dressed in a bright yellow raincoat? Well now Morton Salt, maker of culinary salts found in kitchens everywhere is making a move into the health and beauty category with the launch of their new line of Natural Epsom Salts products.
In a press release issued March 7th, Morton Salt aims to deliver relief to minor aches and pains with their new Natural Epsom Salt line which is now appearing in stores everywhere. The decision to create this line came upon the rapid increase and demand for natural health and beauty products a category that makes $426 billion a year.
"The Epsom salt category has seen sustained growth over the past few years, presenting an opportunity for Morton Salt to begin leveraging its ubiquitous brand equity with the health and beauty shopper," said Carol Panozzo, Vice President of Consumer Products Sales and Marketing at Morton Salt.
The Natural Salts products that are currently on sale are: Morton Natural Epsom Salt (Plain) which is for adding to bath water and soothing minor aches and sprains, Morton Natural Epsom Salt with Lavender or Eucalyptus that offers the calming properties of lavender and the relaxing and tension relieving scent of eucalyptus as well as a lotion, Morton Unscented Epsom Lotion which delivers Epsom salt to the body in a lotion form.
Currently the products are offered in select retail chain stores and drug stores and also online at www.amazon.com.
