Mortal Kombat X Announced

The next chapter in the Mortal Kombat series has been announced this week. Just days before the official announcement, Amazon UK accidentally had listings for it but have been removed since then.

Mortal Kombat has been around for sometime now and it got a great reboot in 2011 and was a hit. Warner Bros looks to do the same again with the latest release which is due in 2015 and what systems it is going to be on has not been officially confirmed. Its seems as though it will be geared to the latest technology so we should be seeing it on Xbox One and possibly not the Xbox 360.

The trailers shows off a battle with well known characters Scorpion and Sub Zero who have been each other nemesis since the beginning as each of their back story colliding with each one another involving rival clans.

The trailers shows interactive environments and a return of X-ray attacks. The trailer is not game footage but almost looks like it could be. This game will possibly have many more features and game modes that will open up more play and will not be just your standard fighting game.

The game will most likely have an ESRB rating of 'M' given the nature of the trailer.

Besides how online play is going to work; I would like to see the character list to see who is returning and what additions will be made. Just as in the last Mortal Kombat when you could play as Freddy Kreuger; I would like to see a surprise or two in the new lineup of combatants.

"FINISH HIM!"
