In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, Sony has announced that they will post the official character images for ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Saturday starting at 5pm PT/ 8pm ET. Be sure to follow the official Mortal Instruments film Twitter and Facebook.
The studio has shared a great graphic celebrating “A Week of Mortal Love.” They also ask fans to weigh in on who they think will be the first character revealed. My guess/hope is Magnus. For one, Magnus is a character that we have yet to see in the trailer. Fans did hear actor Godfrey Gao (Magnus Bane) through a brief voice over in ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ teaser trailer. “There’s a map inside your head Clary,” said Gao in the trailer. Magnus Bane also would be a great choice to be revealed first on this Valentine’s week since he is in one of the most popular Mortal Instruments relationships. Magnus and Alec have become such a popular topic among this passionate fandom that they are now referred to as "Malec."
Another logical character to be revealed first would be Valentine. Jonathan Rhys Meyer’s portrayal of this villainous character is briefly seen in the trailer but considering his name and that fans can’t get enough of the bad guy makes him a top choice to be seen first.
