Morrissey sees no difference between eating animals and pedophilia

Former Smith's singer Morrissey has made a comparison that pedophilia and eating animals are one and the same. Morrissey, a longtime vegan recently announced on his website, "I see no difference between eating animals and pedophilia. They are both rape, violence, murder. If you believe in the abattoir then you would support Auschwitz."

In the same posting he suggested guests to his website visit the YouTube video "The Video the Meat Industry Doesn't Want You To See" (warning: graphic content). He said, "If you have access to You Tube, you should click on to what is called The video the meat industry doesn't want you to see. If this doesn't affect you in a moral sense then you're probably granite. I see no difference between eating animals and paedophilia. They are both rape, violence, murder. If I'm introduced to anyone who eats beings, I walk away. Imagine, for example, if you were in a nightclub and someone said to you 'Hello, I enjoy bloodshed, throat-slitting and the destruction of life,' well, I doubt if you'd want to exchange phone numbers."

He added, "I would like to ask meat-eaters why they believe that animals should not have any rights to live their own lives, whilst humans fiercely demand a god-given right to live as they wish simply by reason of their birth alone."

Morrissey has been a public proponent of veganism for over 20 years from an animal rights perspective and is a longtime ally of PETA. Recently he auctioned a signed copy of his new autobiography for $13,500 which he directly donated to PETA. To say he his hardcore may be an understatement as he has been known to cancel profit making concerts if they were in conjunction with other meat eating singers. He protests circuses and even wrote the song "Meat is Murder". In 2013, PETA featured Morrissey as one of their 20 top ambassadors for the animals featuring him on a postage stamp.

Morrissey has seen success in turning people away from eating meat and going with the more healthy non-dairy, non-meat alternatives.
