Morrissey cancels on Kimmel: Singer refuses to appear with ‘Duck Dynasty’ stars

In a move that will likely teach talk show hosts to schedule only compatible guests on the same day/night, there will be no Morrisey on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Passionate animal activist and singer Morrissey has done something that will make PETA proud. The singer is refusing to appear on Kimmel’s late-night talk show because doing so, will put him in the same air space as the stars of A&E’s reality television show, “Ducky Dynasty,” who make duck hunting products, according to a Feb. 25 E! News repoort.

Morrissey’s rep explained the singer’s cancellation. “Morrissey is thankful for being invited to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow, Feb. 26,” his rep told E! News. “However, he cannot morally be on a television program where the cast members of Duck Dynasty will also be guests. Morrissey would be honored to play the show, if Duck Dynasty were removed.”

And Morrissey stated, “As far as my reputation is concerned, I can't take the risk of being on a show alongside people who, in effect, amount to animal serial killers. If Jimmy cannot dump Duck Dynasty, then we must step away.”

Moving on to a more animal friendly venture, all of the vendors operating at Morrisey’s sold-out Los Angeles show on Mar. 1 are 100 percent vegetarian, according to E! News. Taking note of this historic achievement, Morrison noted in a press release, “I don't look upon it as a victory for me, but a victory for the animals.”
