Morrissey announces spring 2013 tour dates, cancels 'Jimmy Kimmel' appearance

On Feb. 25 singer-songwriter Morrissey announced headlining tour dates for the spring of 2013 on his Facebook page. The North American tour begins March 18 in Lawrence, Kans. and ends April 30 in San Francisco. You can view a complete list of tour dates below.

During Morrissey's spring 2013 North American tour he will perform 22 concerts over a six week time span. The newly announced tour dates are rescheduled from his canceled early 2013 tour. Kristeen Young will open on all dates.

On Feb. 26 Morrissey was supposed to appear on the late night ABC talk show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" but he backed out due to cast members of "Duck Dynasty" also being on the show.

In an issued press release Morrissey stated, "As far as my reputation is concerned, I can't take the risk of being on a show alongside people who, in effect, amount to animal serial killers. If Jimmy cannot dump Duck Dynasty then we must step away."

All tickets previously purchased for his canceled tour dates will be honored at the new shows except for his concert in Flint, Mich. and in San Francisco. For more information about Morrissey's spring 2013 North American tour visit his official website here.
