Morris Chestnut’s fans will see a lot more of the actor in 2013. First up for the film and television star is “Identity Thief” with Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman. The comedy opens in theaters across the country on Friday Feb. 8. Chestnut plays a detective in the film which is about an uptight businessman (Bateman) whose identify is stolen by a free-spirited con woman (McCarthy).
“Identity Thief” is just one of several films the star has lined up this year following his role in 2012's mega-hit "Think Like a Man". He will also be seen in “The Call” with Halle Berry which is scheduled for release in March, the summer film “Kick-Ass 2” in June and the sequel to “The Best Man” in the fall which was announced recently.
Chestnut caught the eye of many movie-goers with his heart-breaking turn as Ricky in John Singleton’s 1991 drama “Boyz n the Hood”.
