Take a 2nd Look tonight at VisionCorps. Learn about this great community resource at its 2nd Look Lancaster monthly Awareness Event. The gathering will take place at Commonwealth on Queen, 301 North Queen Street. Commonwealth on Queen is a cafe and event space in Lancaster. Light refreshments will be served by both Commonwealth on Queen and Lancaster Brewing Company. Entertainment for this free event will be by singer/songwriter Justin Angelo.

The second Thursday of each month is SyFan Book Club at the Lancaster Public Library. This Thursday is Star Wars: The Truce at Bakura. The Library is located at 125 North Duke Street.

The Lancaster Barnstormers continued their winning streak last night. The final score against the Long Island Ducks was 6-5. The two teams face each other again tonight at Long Island before traveling back home for Friday night’s game. The Barnstormers are now 9-3 and maintain their lead throughout the League.

Enjoy a night of poetry at DogStar Books tonight. The focus of tonight’s reading will be Le Hinton and his new book “The Language of Moisture and Light.” Light refreshments will be served. DogStar Books is located at 401 West Lemon Street.

Tonight is the first of a three day showing of “He Comes for his Books,” a play by Chet Williamson. The showing will be held at Tellus360, 24 East King Street. A single ticket is $15. Showtime for all three days is 7 p.m. Reserve your tickets at www.tellus360.com.

The Donald Sinta Quartet will play at the Trust Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. tonight. The Center is located at 37 North Market Street.

Lavacave will perform at Tellus360 tonight at 8 p.m.

The Lancaster Canoe and Kayak Club will meet to discuss a Western rafting trip. The meeting will be at 7 p.m., at 2173 Embassy Drive.

The East Side Market is holding a fundraiser this evening at Issac’s Pickle Bar, 25 North Queen Street. Issac’s will donate 25% of food and beverage orders tonight from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to the new market.

A heads up … On Saturday, 24 May there will be a March Against Monsanto at Penn Square. The March will begin at 2 p.m. There will be speakers and workshops as well as vendors and GMO free food samples available to help raise awareness.
