Morgan Hill man arrested for knocking his girlfriend unconscious

A man who allegedly kidnapped his girlfriend from a Morgan Hill bar before beating her unconscious inside his home was arrested on domestic violence charges late Sunday night.

According to Morgan Hill police, officers responded to the Morgan Hill Tavern Bar on a report of a kidnapping. Witnesses told police the suspect entered the bar from the rear, grabbed the female victim by the neck and dragged her outside. The suspect then reportedly punched her in the face before shoving her into a waiting vehicle and driving away.

Police obtained the victim’s identification from the bartender and were able to identify the suspect as 21-year-old Christopher Franco. Officers quickly responded to Franco’s residence where they found the victim lying unconscious in a bedroom bleeding heavily from her nose. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her fractured nose.

The Franco was positively identified by witnesses as the man who committed the alleged kidnapping, according to police. He was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on charges of felony domestic violence, kidnapping, and causing great bodily injury during the commission of a felony.
