Eagerly deploying the race card, Freeman said:
"The lengths that people will go to to show their prejudices! You see some of these signs that say, 'TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!' What the f**k is that? Whose country are you talking about? They are being pushed to the side, which is a good thing for them to realize: You don’t have the power you think you have in this country. Obama was legitimately elected president. If you don’t like that, fine, either move out, or make your point and get yourself elected, but don’t tear the country apart!"
Now may be a good time to remind readers that this is a man who is widely believed to have had a longstanding sexual relationship with his own step-granddaughter, who is 45 years his junior.
He is also suspected of having been intoxicated at the time of an incident in 2008 when he lost control of his vehicle, which left the highway and flipped over multiple times. He and his passenger had to be removed from the car with the Jaws Of Life, and the passenger subsequently sued him for negligence, claiming he was driving while drunk.
So while Mr. Freeman is certainly entitled to his opinion, it's worth keeping in mind the source of that opinion.
