Morgan Creek Productions launches massive talent search for feature film 'Tupac'

A massive talent search is underway to hopefully find a new unknown actor to play the lead role of Tupac Shakur in the upcoming feature film titled "Tupac". Tupac Shakur was the rapper, actor, record producer, poet, screenwriter and activist who was gunned down and assassinated the night of September 7, 1996 in Las Vegas, NV.

David and James Robinson of Morgan Creek Productions will executive produce along with Afeni Shakur, Tupac's mother. She will executive produce a film in 2012 that Tupac Shakur wrote prior to his death titled "Live 2 Tell". Black Reel Award winning Antoine Fuqua will direct "Tupac" from a script written by Academy Award nominated writers Stephen J. Rivele and Chris Wilkinson.

David Robinson said that they are looking for someone with the right mix of raw charm and charisma for the role, and they are  we’re more concerned about finding someone with the ability to give their entire heart into the performance more than just looks and personality.
