TINTON FALLS – An unidentified motorist brought a dog into the Associated Humane Popcorn Park Shelter (AHS) yesterday, that was found in a sealed garbage bag. The AHS is now offering a $500.00 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for causing the dogs condition and leaving him for dead in a sealed garbage bag.
The motorist advised the AHS that he saw a garbage bag on the side of Belmar Boulevard, in Wall Township, and the sealed bag was moving. When he opened the bag, he found a dog in the most horrid, unimaginable, neglectful condition. He immediately brought the dog into the AHS Tinton Falls facility, where the staff began to shave down the horrendous, urine and feces soaked coat of the dog, which had imprisoned him for an interminable length of time.
The AHS quickly found the elderly dog had a sever skin infection and sores covering his body so they rushed the dog to an emergency vet hospital for urgent care. The dog that is now called “Morgan,” will need round-the-clock care. The AHS is asking for donations through their Res Q fund website, for anyone that would like to contribute to Morgan’s long term hospital recovery stay.
If you have any information on the abuse of Morgan, please call the AHS at 732-922-0100.
Find more information and updates on the AHS Facebook page.
Update, an arrest has been made, more on the arrest coming soon.
