More young people pursue high tech careers

High technology is a hot career path and getting even hotter. The emerging economy favors people who can understand the latest technology.

"I am studying computer science because I believe that is where the most opportunity is for someone like me. I have always enjoyed solving computer problems and I like the work I am doing," said Andre Rodriguez.

"I am going into the medical technology field. There are a lot of opportunities for people with my skill sets. I think I will do well in this field. I have already received job offers," said Angelo Gonzalez.

"I am studying computer programing. I like to work on computers and I have received some contract work even though I am still in school learning more advanced computer programing," said Jorge Ortega.
