This internet thing … as a writer, what are you supposed to do with it? Do you need a website to showcase your writing? What’s that tweeting stuff all about? How do you use Facebook to endear and not annoy? Does anybody still blog? Okay, obviously you have a lot of questions. We’ll answer these and discuss what websites can help your writing career and how to establish yourself as a specialist in a certain topic. We’ll study examples of ways to build a web presence to help you earn a book contract and to help readers find your book after it’s published.

Perfecting the Query Letter (MINI)

Studio authors, Robert Gatewood (The Sound of Trees), and Jenny Shank (The Ringer), will work directly with writers, discussing and reviewing query letter guidelines and gambits. Subject to each writer’s goals and work-to-date, we will develop and polish query letters for literary agents, publishing house editors, literary and/or magazine editors. This workshop is open to writers working in all forms and genres!
