You know those little tabs that you have to pull to open your can of soda, juice, or beer? Well, start saving them. They have value on eBay. If you search completed listings for aluminum pull tabs, you will find over 250 listings. You can see completed listings here. These are selling in large lots of several thousand. This begs the question, why the heck would anyone want to buy these?
This is another example of re-purposing. Crafters are using these can pull tabs to make a variety of items including jewelry, handbags, small evening bags, pendant lamps, even clothing! I have actually seen a prom dress made from this material. I think this is taking recycling to a whole new level!
