Thunderstorms blasted across West Michigan Friday night with 1-3 inches of heavy rain leading to some minor flooding. Additional heavy rain and a few thunderstorms are possible as a cold front approaches. A few of the storms could be strong but the Storm Prediction Center keeps the slight risk for severe weather primarily to our west on Saturday and to the east on Sunday. Like the storms that blew across West Michigan Friday night, the strongest storms for are likely Saturday night into Sunday morning. The soggy weather will likely hang around into the middle of next week.

Warm air ahead of this disturbance will push temperatures into the upper 70s on Saturday. Cooler air begins moving into the area by Sunday with temperatures in the 60s.

The slideshow on the top has a few forecast maps for the temperatures and rainfall.

As the rain impact the area, the Grand Rapids National Weather Service wants any reports you may have.
You can send them your weather reports via their on-line spotter report form. This can be accessed at: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/grr/spotter/
