In short, the Day of Resistance is scheduled for Feb. 23, 2013. The reason for the day is that President Barack Obama issued 23 executive actions against the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
The web page says that,
“He did this without the consent of Congress, which in itself, violates the foundation of the Constitution and the co-equal branches of government.”
In response to these unconstitutional actions by the President, on February 23, 2013 the American people will stand together in defiance to protect the right that protects ALL of our rights, the 2nd Amendment. The groups will organize locally so that they may band together neighbor to neighbor and reassert their community's right to determine their own destiny.
According to Breitbart.com, more than 50,000 Americans have already signed up for 97 rallies in more than 30 states across the country. The rallies will focus on Second Amendment issues and President Barack Obama’s push for gun control, but they will also branch out into all aspects of oppressive big government.
For those who are interested in getting involved in securing their Second Amendment rights as well as other Constitutional guarantees, simply go to the Day of Resistance website. There are three options there. You can sign up to attend, you can sign up to volunteer, or you can sign up to organize your own rally.
