Among the thousands who braved the snow-covered streets of New York City to watch the Brooklyn Nets game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday were more than 600 youth and young adults who participated in the first-ever SDA Youth Night at the Barclays Center.

In total, 18 churches and two schools from the Northeastern and Greater New York conferences were represented. Dr. Daniel Honore, president of the Northeastern Conference was also in attendance.

The players were welcomed onto the court with high-fives from children who received free T-shirts. After the nearly three-hour game, each attendee had an opportunity to bring their game on to the court and shoot a free throw. For many, however, it was a lot more difficult than anticipated.

The Brooklyn Nets beat the Philadelphia 76ers with a final score of 108-102.
