The CMA Music Festival occurred in downtown Nashville in early June. For the 10th straight year, the events were filmed for a special, “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock,” which will air on ABC television on Tue., Aug. 5. Hosting for the second year in a row will be reigning CMA Group of the Year Little Big Town.

The Country Music Association previously announced that Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Hunter Hayes, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and The Band Perry would have performances shown on the special. Today, you can add more superstar power in the form on Luke Bryan, Eric Church with special guest Lzzy Hale, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Lady Antebellum, and Blake Shelton with season 2 contestant of “The VoiceGwen Sebastian.

If you’ve never been to the CMA Music Festival, I gotta say, it’s definitely something you should do at least once in your life. There are packages that include your hotel and tickets for the shows. If you think that’s probably going to cost more than you have to spend, there is also a lot of free shows that happen during CMA Music Festival week, so if you can find a place to stay outside of downtown (which is pretty expensive to stay in), it’s definitely worth the trip.

Besides all the music, many stars have their fan club parties during the CMA Music Festival week. At the parties, you can have intimate performances from your favorite stars, and many of them do meet & greets with the fans, signing autographs and taking pictures.

Still think it’s out of the question moneywise, watching this special is the next best thing. You get the best view of all the performances, plus Little Big Town will give you behind-the-scenes looks at various events.

“CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” is executive-produced by Robert Deaton, and again, it will air on the ABC television network on Tue., Aug. 5. Be sure to watch.
