Walmart stores across the United States will be receiving a much needed boost in PlayStation 4 units from Sony this weekend, according to a report today from GameSpot.

The shipment of PS4 units will be the largest to-date for Walmart, and consoles will be available for purchase starting at 8 a.m. Sunday at stores and online while supplies last.

According to the Walmart website, however, the retailer is still out of stock of the PS4 counterpart Xbox One.

Microsoft announced today that they’d sold-through 2 million units of the Xbox One so far, and that the demand for the machine is currently exceeding the supply.

Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft corporate vice president of strategy and marketing for Xbox, said the platform holder was “humbled and overwhelmed” by the popularity of the next-gen console.

Sony announced via the PlayStation Blog last week that they’d surpassed the 2 million units sold mark.
