Stephen Norrington has left The Crow remake after an unspecified actor wanted changes made to the script he and Nick Cave had written. On top of that, the actor also wanted a whole new screenwriter brought in to rewrite the script.
Advanced word is that it was not Mark Wahlberg who wanted these changes, so it is still unknown as to whom is actually going to star in the film.
Norrington was a good choice for the remake even though The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a failure, due in large part to his feud with Sean Connery. His first installment in the Blade trilogy was one of the better comic book movies at its time and his visual style would have fit with The Crow universe.
There are no real frontrunners to take over the helm at this time but one can expect much speculation in the coming weeks.
