If you’re looking for an interesting place to go for good food, good wine and a different experience, Saint Austere is one choice to make. Located at 613 Grand Street in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, this establishment is dedicated to satisfying their customers and providing a higher level of customer service than most. The menu has a very diverse and thoughtful choice of dining items for the vegetarian and meat lover alike. A couple of selections that may whet your appetite are the meatball appetizer and the broccoli rabe. The broccoli rabe is by far, one of the most delicious you will ever partake upon. The wine list has many choices, though only a few selections are available by glass. The staff is pleasant and courteous. There is ample room to digest and chat, even though the railroad-style layout may initially put some, in different frame of mind. There are a few draft beers on tap and booth seating in the back. One thing to remember about this eating establishment is that they are totally open to catering to the customer’s needs, relative to the dynamic of what they serve. Family owned and operated these folks dish out the kind of love that most expect and most would appreciate. Another of their amazing offers is the $1 dollar oysters. This happens Monday through Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Locals as well as destination folk, come from near and far to delight in the experience. No matter whether you’re on a date or just meeting friends for cocktails, this definitively is a great place to do either. Very easy to get to from either the L/G train at the Lorimer/Metropolitan stop or the J/M/Z train at the Marcy Ave stop. You will surely be pleased that you stopped in.
