The overall employment picture is getting better in Florida. But there was some bad news for working people in Florida. According to a reported released by the outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Florida employers reduced jobs by 2,183 in December, according to an article by Marcia Heroux Pounds in the January 10 Sun Sentinel.
"I hope this is not part of a growing trend. I want to see more people working because it helps the overall economy," said Melinda Barr.
"It is never good when someone loses a job. We need to have more people working," said Stacie Bradford.
