More Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC coming

Earlier this year at CES, FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 Producer, Yoshinori Kitase mentioned in an official North American SquareEnix blog interview that coming DLC wouldn't take the form of just costumes or battle content but additional side-stories to greater fill out the already massive content available in the game.  Square Enix North America is one of the largest console software publishers in the world and is headquartered in Los Angeles.

Announced by Square Enix NA community manager Robert Peeler, on February 28th the Sazh: Heads or Tails? DLC will be available for download.  The new DLC features a new story in which Final Fantasy XIII’s Sazh takes players through a parallel adventure to the main storyline.  In addition, two new card games were added to the Casino minigames; Chronobird and Serendipity Poker.  If that’s not enough of a reason to spend $5, once the story is completed, players are rewarded with the option of adding Sazh to their regular party during the game.

These new minigames and the ability to use Sazh in battle makes the DLC a sound investment for many Final Fantasy XIII fans.  Also announced for North America are a couple of additional costumes for Noel and Serah: namely Noel's Spacetime Guardian outfit and Serah's Beachwear outfit. These outfits once purchased can be used at any point in the game by accessing the main menu.

All this new content is available February 28th on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE, prices are broken as follows; Sazh Story DLC: 400 Microsoft Points / $4.99 on PSN, Serahs' Beachwear costume: 240 Microsoft Points / $2.99 on PSN and Noel's Spacetime Guardian costume: 240 Microsoft Points / $2.99 on PSN.

The upcoming Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC will join the previously released Coliseum battle with Lightning in her Final Fantasy XIII original outfit, as well as Lightning's military superior Bodhum Security Regiment Master Sergeant Amodar.  Lightning uses the Ravager Paradigm and begins the battle asserting a powerful dominance that takes a bit of strategy to overcome.  Halfway through the battle, Lightning is joined by her superior officer, Amodar.

Amodar and Lightning battle together against players, making for a difficult challenge that only the most skilled tacticians will survive.  Though once defeated, individually they can be added to your party and will offer quite an advantage throughout the rest of the game.  The Lightning/Amodar DLC is available and reasonably priced for Xbox 360 at 240 MSP and on PlayStation 3 for $2.99.
